Free HELOC Calculator Widget
A HELOC has two payments, and the second one surprises people. During the draw period the payment is interest-only on whatever has been drawn; when repayment begins, principal is added and the payment jumps. This widget shows both figures side by side, so a visitor sees the payment shock before they sign rather than several years into the line.
It is worth embedding anywhere you discuss tapping home equity: renovation content, debt consolidation advice, or a lender's own explainer page. The variable-rate input matters here too, since HELOC rates move with the prime rate rather than staying fixed.

HELOC Calculator widget FAQs
Yes, and that is the point of it. Visitors see the interest-only payment during the draw period and the larger principal-and-interest payment that begins when repayment starts, side by side. The jump between the two is the part borrowers most often do not plan for.
It calculates from whatever rate the visitor enters and holds it constant. Real HELOC rates move with the prime rate, so the results are a snapshot at that rate rather than a forecast. Encourage visitors to run it again a few points higher to see what a rate increase would do to the repayment-period payment.
